Let me tell you my story

Before I started this journey, I KNEW how to eat right, I KNEW how to portion, I KNEW how to exercise.

I knew everything I needed to be healthy.

The only problem was I did not actually do any of those things I knew!

I also knew that in order to maintain a healthy weight, I would need a LIFESTYLE change, not just a diet. Because there are NO quick-fixes and it takes work. Adding 50+ pounds to my frame did not take a day or a week & getting it off won’t either.

I have been struggling with weight gain since my first year of college. I have tried to change my lifestyle (eating habits & activity level) numerous times. My most successful time I kept up with it for two months. It was exciting to lose some weight and to feel better. But I kept slipping up until I just gave up. I gained the weight back in no time and went right back to eating too much and not exercising.

A year after that failure, enter my friend T. She started 21 Day Fix in order to lose her post-baby weight. And holy crap, let me tell you… It worked for her. Not just weight loss wise, but you could see a change in her attitude and self-confidence. It was inspiring to say the least.

And that got me thinking… Yes, I know how to be healthy. But, what if knowing isn’t enough? I needed more to make a lifestyle change. I needed definite goals & accountability.

That’s why I made the choice to buy the 21 Day Fix challenge pack. I decided to invest in myself and it’s not a decision I regret AT ALL.

So far, I have lost 20+ pounds. Even when I’m not on a round of 21 Day Fix wit Shakeology (Yum!), I make healthier choices when it comes to eating and staying active without having to overthink it. And I am excited to keep going.

So, when will you take your first step?

A month from now, you could look back and be amazed at what you’ve accomplished for yourself or you can look back and say I wish I would have started. It’s only a matter of saying YES and following through.
